On Wednesday evening, February 4th, the KWPN will welcome you to the opening of the 2009 Stallion Selection with a special program called KWPN College. The program will take place in the main arena and offer ringside seating to facilitate an interactive environment. Its purpose is to give foreign guests insight into the KWPN selection method. All breeding directions will be represented, and the connection between breeding, bloodlines, selection, and top sporthorses will be discussed. Would you like to visit the KWPN College, please send an e-mail to wolfs@kwpn.nl (manager foreign affairs and sales promotion).
On Thursday, the second and third round viewings of jumper stallions continue. The evening is dedicated to sport: the stallion competition final and various exhibitions.
Friday is devoted to the dressage stallions, with the second and third round viewings taking place during the day. In the evening, KWPN horses compete to win the stallion competitions. Also featured are several exhibitions, including those spotlighting the foundation sire Jazz, number one dressage stallion on the WBFSH-ranking.
On Saturday, we present the KWPN’s very best: the dressage horse and jumper champion selections, the new breeding stallions of 2009, the new predicate stallions, and the 2008 Horse of the Year award ceremony. The Stallion Selection concludes with our elite auction, the KWPN Select Sale.
We look forward to seeing you in February at the 2009 KWPN Stallion Selection in Den Bosch.
FROM ANOTHER NEWS RELEASE…..by Dressage Direct
One Lingh son originating from a Ferro-dam and bred by the owners of the late Grand Prix-star Ferro, Jan Lamers and his late partner Adriaan van der Goor, made the first next step and received permission to show himself in Den Bosch February 6th.
This impressive stallion cat nr 561 Beau like his French name says is really beautiful indeed. “In the Lingh-progeny that was showed, we could recognize the noble head of the father, the expressive foreleg and the elegant and uphill conformation and movements overall”, judge Wim Ernes said. He continued: “It’s a start of course. In breeding we are always looking for an improvement of the father. As long as we have Lingh, we don’t need a second Lingh, do we? There is still a long way to go before a prospect stallion finally gets approved.”
