Sometimes a testimonial rocks your boat…thanks Jeff !!

TESTIMONIALS

SEPTEMBER 2013

Wow. YOU are AMAZING.

My kids learned from you. And I must confess…I learned from you. You are a true professional but more than that, you care so deeply about what you do that it comes through in every aspect of the experience that me, our pony “Ice Man”, and my kids had at Brek-N-Ridge Farm.

And when I say that I learned from you…I don’t just mean that I learned some things about how to care for horses or how to ride a horse but something more high level and global – that is – how to be a true professional; how to provide extreme customer service; and how to deliver value to your customers that goes way beyond just getting “over the bar”.

I’m so impressed Karin. I’m so thrilled with our experience.

Thank you. Thank you for everything Karin….

And you can be sure we will follow your prescribed course of action for how we care for “Ice Man” going forward….

Warmest regards,

Jeff

Lingh Offspring Scores Big at Championships

” SWF ION,” a stunning 2013 colt by Lingh out of the Westfalen mare Dorothee by Dr. Kooning, was the Southern Breeders Foal Champion at the USDF Region 9 Championships held Septmber 15th in Katy, TX.  His owner/breeder Mary Nuttall of Conroe, Texas shared these photos and had this to say about SWF ION:
” I can honestly say I have never bred or owned such a smart, handle-able youngster before, his trust in people and willingness to try and do what you ask is outstanding. I really hope if he continues to develop well, we may have a stallion prospect in him! “

We are thrilled that another such promising youngster by Lingh has been produced through our breeding program! We are very proud to manage Lingh and look forward to supporting breeders to successful outcomes such as this one! Lingh was a gem as an international performance stallion and he is proving to be equally special as a producer!!!  Says Hassler Dressage’s,  Susanne Hassler.

Dubai (by De Niro x Lingh x Metall)
Eurodressage Foal Market

Dubai is a premium Oldenburg colt by Grand Prix horse producer De Niro out of a Lingh x Metall dam. Exceptional mover, definite stallion prospect and future top quality dressage horse.

Name: Dubai
Breed: Oldenburg
Year of Birth: 2013
Sire: De Niro
Dam: Linguistic
Dam Sire: Lingh x Metall
Asking price: £8,500

Dubai is an outstanding colt with elastic paces and a willing temperament. He was awarded a Premium by the Oldenburg Verband.

His father De Niro is among the world’s best dressage sires, having had 3 offspring at the London 2012 Olympic Games including 2 members of the German team (Desperados and Dablino) who achieved team silver. Desperados is just one of more than 60 licensed De Niro sons, and De Niro is responsible for siring many successful mares, foals and auction topping horses.

Dubai’s mother Linguistic is a refined Oldenburg mare by Edward Gal’s former Grand Prix stallion Lingh. She was the highest scoring 3 year old at her BEF Futurity Evaluation and went on to commence a successful career under saddle trained by International Grand Prix rider Anna Ross Davies.

Her first foal was awarded the prestigious Foal Premium from the Oldenburg Verband and we made the decision to retain her as a broodmare. Linguistic’s mother Tiara also enjoyed a successful career under saddle and is by the stallion Metall, whose offspring inherit his stunning conformation, and a high degree of quality and refinement. He has also produced many successful sports horses and licensed stallions such as Uthopia who helped to secure Team Gold for GB at the 2012 Olympics.

Dubai, as well as a selection of foals available from £5500, can be viewed at Southern Cross Stud in Surrey, very easily accessible from all London Airports. Southern Cross also has other quality foals available by Bretton Woods, Brisbane, Desperando, De Niro, Dimaggio, Furst Romancier and Sarkozy.

Brek-n-Ridge Farm – How we spent the summer! Part ONE

The 2013 Horse Show Circuit for Brek-n-Ridge Riders

Included Shows in Harbor Springs, Suttons Bay, Bay Harbor and at Blackstar Farms

Working student Rachel Hughs, last summer’s assistant for Karin, arrived back in town from lower Mi. for full time work at Brek-n-Ridge. She got down to business in May and competed Brek-n-Ridge’s ANNIE in Dressage classes at Katie Coffer’s Stepping Stones Show. ANNIE showed us what a nice flat pony she will be and settled into the show easily.

Around the Fourth of July Brek-n-Ridge welcomed third year returning student,  Mackenzie Becker and her cool horse BOOMER. BOOMER is a Morgan performance horse, well schooled in various disciplines. Mac has decided that Dressage appeals to both of them, and she faithfully took a series of weekly lesson’s with Karin. Thank you for that time and attention Mackenzie!

Boomer - Proud of himself !

Boomer – Proud of himself !

Following the busy first weeks of July, all the Brek-n-Ridge riders began to compete. Mary Otto from St. Louis leased ANNIE for the summer. Arriving in late June, Mary and ANNIE worked with Karin 5-6 days a week polishing their equitation, dressage skills and training ANNIE for the future 3 foot pony hunter classes. By the time July 20th rolled along, they were ready to compete. We traveled to the pretty Double Oak Farm in Sutton’s Bay where Mary won an important jumping class that day. In each competition she climbed up the ladder, improving her technique and then,  finally,  she  and ANNIE produced a smooth and consistent ride. She won the blue ribbon! Remember – ANNIE is considered a “green pony”. Job well done, Mary!

IMG_2915

In August we all traveled to the Stepping Stones Show at Bay Harbor. The horses were tired  from our busy July schedules but the show gave the students an opportunity to dig deep and accept the fact that even if you think you are prepared – sometimes and often, with horses – you just are not ready to show!  An exception at this show was second year returning working student Hannah Ernst of Tapawingo Farms from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Last Christmas, Karin helped arrange the gifting of REGGIE, an aged thoroughbred former Dressage mount,  to Tapawingo Farms.

Reggie - in July

Reggie – his arrival

Hannah was the lucky girl allowed to ride and train REGGIE under Karin’s watchful eye this summer. REGGIE was part of the Brek-n-Ridge family of horses used for lesson’s this summer and both he and Hannah worked hard and got Fit!

By the time September rolled along, both Hannah and Reggie did become fit, very healthy and successful in EVERY class they entered. Her winning ride at the Bay Harbor Show in the Training Level Test 1 ride surpassed all other riders  at the show and she took home our High Point Rider for the day. United States Dressage Federation’s Judge ColleenHaveman- Forton rewarded the pair with “obedient, fluid, balanced and straight” comments and scores ranging from 6.5 to 8.5’s. We are so proud of you Hannah !

As you can see below, Hannah and REGGIE returned to the Upper Peninsula last week in great form!

Proud to wear the brand !

SUMMER OF 2013, Brek-n-Ridge Farm and GreenLeaf Trust

2013 Summer at Brek-n-Ridge Farm began with a Bang

IMG_3275

Instruction provided by law enforcement and equine professionals, Pam and Dan Weston, using Natural Horsemanship methods took place June 5th. As Mounted Police officers, Pam and Dan have trained horses for numerous police agencies and private individuals. With over 30 years of experience riding and training mounted patrol horses, they understand how to desensitize horses, helping them to remain calm and obedient when confronting unfamiliar objects and stimuli.

Together with GreenLeaf Trust, Brek-n-Ridge Farm hosted this small clinic for 10 local riders and horses. Catered by The Depot of Harbor Springs, the festivities went on well into the late afternoon.

WALTER PFANDER and his horse DALLAS

Together since Dallas was a 3 year old, Walter and Dallas arrived at Brek-n-Ridge in 2011. After years of a “certain kind “ of a man horse relationship, Walter attests that the best years are ahead for them. Able to ride and be ridden with increasing confidence and abilities, Walter is glad to have Dallas, at Brek-n-Ridge where he gets great care!

BRIDGES, BALLS, BALOONS, BOXES, BAGS IN UNEXPECTED ORDER WAS DIFFICULT FOR MOST OF THE HORSES. YET, ONLY ONE OR TWO HORSES REFUSED TO WORK WITH THEIR HUMAN AND LEARN NEW TECHNIQUE. “ULKE AND I NEVER MADE IT OVER THE BRIDGE….YET!  “ SAYS KARIN

In getting to know GreenLeaf Trust, I have discovered that they are Michigan based, helping generations of families build their portfolios, manage their money and helping them become charitable members of our society. For me, there is nothing better than learning how to fundraise and give. We hope to have a second clinic soon and if you are reading this and would like to join us, please contact me at the farm. 231-242-0012

“…the most important thing is the genetics of horses that have been gathered from the whole world.

We guarantee the high genetic quality of our horses. Our horses are absolutely healthy and without any bad habits. They are accustomed to the total submission to humans. Our experience in international trade helps us put our horses to the client in any place in the world. “

says the proud breeder of Libertus,

son of Lingh

Libertus_16_2

INFORMATION FROM THE BREEDER :  “He was born in our stables. I myself helped to give him birth from our mare. It was our second attempt to get a foal from the combination of famous lineage.

Libertus is not aggressive, rather he is communicative, compromising and an intelligent horse. His height, this summer of 2013,  is 173cm [ 17 hands tall ] without shoes.

He is a very correct horse. I can see this about him, even his hooves wear equally. It is equally easy for him to flex his spine on a spiral on the right and the left. He has healthy and strong hooves and joints. Intelligent eyes. Pure breath.

We have 1-2 times per week accomplished a gallop training in the open arena on the deep sand.He raced twice for a “Prize of 2000 Guineas” (1609 m) per session without a problem.

He has been backed and in the near future a rider will come to us and we will start working Libertus under saddle. He can be seen in Europe, photos and video below”

Thank you for your consideration!  Breeder, Anatol Janovsky

Like father like son, Libertus.

Sire Lingh was approved for the KWPN in 2005 & is described as an honest and reliable stallion that is easy to work with. The great achievements of this stallion match his absolutely stunning conformation as an athletic modern riding type.

Lingh show results that put him at the top of the WBFSH Index, ranking him the number one dressage stallion and third in the world during his competitive years. Lingh’s performance career is one of the most impressive in dressage breeding history.

Dam Santana. Her Sire- Rotspon in the 2010, Hanoverian Stallion Book is credited with 606 competition progeny, 480 dressage competitors with 27 progeny competing at S level. Rotspons FN dressage breeding index is 140 with a jumping index of 84. His Hanoverian dressage index is 135 with a jumping index of 78. Rotspon was named US Dressage Breed Show Champion by the USEquestrian”Sires of the Year”. The chef of Cavalry School in Saumur general LHotte said that blood may fill in all other horses qualities, but nothing can replace blood. Libertus has 56% of blood /OX.

Dressage Breeders – Memory 2009 – What is the American Update ?

Friday was a different sort of World Cup day because there were so many facets.  There was no World Cup dressage, just show jumping and that wasn’t until the evening session.  Instead there were all sorts of opportunities to learn, reminisce and discuss ways to improve our world of horses.Brentina Says GoodbyeIt seems appropriate that rather than start at the beginning of the day to instead talk about the one event that left no dry eyes in the audience.    It was a sad yet heartfelt moment when Debbie McDonald brought Brentina into the arena for her last time.  It was time for Brentina to retire.  She’s given Debbie and her owners Parry and Peggy Thomas a lot to remember from winning the World Cup in 2005 to her memorable performances at past World Equestrian and Olympic Games.Brentina was one horse that truly helped U.S. dressage gain recognition in a world that is often dominated by the Germans.  Through Debbie’s passion and devotion to the sport and her pairing with Brentina they gained the love of our country.  It was because of those reasons that tears and even sobs could be heard throughout the crowd as Debbie herself wiped away her own tears.  No doubt she along with the rest of us were reflecting on what a magnificent pair these two have been.

This was certainly a magical combination but now at 18 she’s paid her dues and it’s time to retire.

Starting From The Morning

Now that I’ve put in my bid for what I considered to be the best part of the day, I’ll start at the beginning.  The morning began with a breed forum put on by Flyinge, the Swedish National Stud.  While I won’t get into too many specifics the concept was to have a “unique breeders’” meeting designed to discuss how to maximize the potential for breeders.  Karin Reid Offield, owner of the well known KWPN stallion Lingh, was the instigator and creator behind the organization of this meeting.

The theme of the meeting was the Best of Three Worlds and that connection was Holland, Sweden and the U.S.  It was a chance to get breeders and non breeders alike to discuss ways to help each other.

In 2006 Karin purchased Lingh with visions and dreams of Olympic fame.  When her horse got hurt her vision changed and so she looked for a place to stand him and found Flyinge.  Karin recognized that there was a need to get a connection between the users and producers and so the morning meeting brought people together with that same interest.

There’s no question that the U.S. is years behind these other countries when it comes   to breeding but we are quick learners.

Among the speakers was Karl-Henrik Heimdahl, Flyinge breeding manager.  As a vet who saw horses from that perspective Karl got fed up with all the problems he saw in the horses he was vetting and wanted to see that improve.  It was because of this that he got caught up in the breeding world.

Flyinge is a perfect example of how breed organizations need to constantly change and evolve.  Over the years Flyinge has changed from a stud farm whose purpose was to provide stallions to Kings to one that provides horses for all levels of horse enthusiasts.  Part of that was education, something that Karl feels is critical to help improve breeding.

While education was one suggestion, another was for the breeders to find young riders to show their horses in order to help gain recognition for the breed.

Emmy de Jeu, a well known breeder from Holland, supported that theory and added, “it cost money but it helps you get known and ultimately get more money for your young horses.”

While good stallions are critical to any breed program, Emmy also puts a lot of emphasis in the mares. “I look for knowledge and character in my mares.  Nowadays most of the horses go to amateur riders and it is important that they can get along with the horse and have a lot of fun with it.  In addition to good gaits and good conformation I look for electric movements.”

Tish Quirk, who is a U.S. breeder, is working diligently to support programs that help to promote breeding.  In addition to the Young Jumper Championship and recently a Dressage Futurity the latest initiative is a Hunter Development Incentive Fund started by the USHJA.

Tish had another suggestion noting that there should be some effort put into mentor programs where retired breeders could teach young enthusiastic people to also teach.

Dirk Wilhelm Rosie, a Dutch breeding expert who had been with the KWPN for 12 years, made a very interesting comment.  “Stud books should be open.  I don’t think of them like brands of cars.  They are the developers and mechanics of cars not the salesman. They should be there to help the breeders.”

A focal point of the meeting was Jan Brink whose stallion Briar was being retired from competition after this World Cup.  As a pure Swedish Warmblood his success over the years in the dressage arena bodes well for the breeding program in Sweden.

Mare by Lingh – Busilus, now 7 years old – wins in Scotland, UK

Busilus, by Lingh won the elementary level class at the Scottish regionals which means we have qualified for the British Dressage National Championships next month. Very very excited!!

more news and photos to follow!

2012  A letter from Sam about her mare Busilus – 6 years old

Dear Karin,

I felt that it was about time I sent you a progress update and some new photos of Busi.

I think its almost 2 years since I’ve been in touch, Busi is 6 now and alot has happened in the last year or so.

At the start of 2011 she qualified for the British dressage winter championships at Prelim and Novice Freestyle levels.  We were 9th in the Freestyle class and the experience was fantastic.  Later that year she qualified for the Potential International Dressage Horse 5 year old class and got to go down the British Dressage Nationals, wow what an eye opener, we were in the same class as Farouche (not sure whether you have heard of Farouche but VERY famous 6 year old horse here in the UK).

We have just recently moved up to Elementary level and she has gained enough points over the last year or so to be out of Novice now.  We just started playing with flying changes at the start of this year which she finds so easy.  This summer I have qualified for the Shearwater Young Dressage Horse (6YO) championships although unfortunately I wont make the championships as we are away that weekend and its a 1000 mile round trip for us to get there.  We then qualified for the British Young Horse (6YO) and the Sheerwater Potential international dressage horse (6YO) class with the finals for that being held at Hickstead.  Again, its probably about 1300 mile round trip for those championships and also our Regional Championship in Scotland the day after so I have decided not to go.  Was great fun doing the qualifiers though.  For the International qualifier we had to get a flying change each way which was great fun 🙂  She has qualified for the Regionals at novice and Elementary level so I am hoping for some success as would really love to get to the Nationals again, its a long way from us in Scotland but very worthwhile trip.

As a 6 year old I see a huge difference in her, stronger this year and so much more cadence, really starting to look and feel very special.  I get some help from dutch trainer Albert van Schie who thinks she is great and has ridden her too and thinks she is very trainable.  She really is awesome!

I have done quite a bit more jumping with her this year too and she loves to jump.  I have been told that she would be a very talented jumper too but its not really my main thing now, good to do for a change of scene though.  We even took her cross country schooling and she was very good, she is just great at whatever you ask her to do.

She is just getting better and better and I am very excited about the future, she is just fabulous 🙂

Hope you are well.
Best Regards
Sam Turpitt

American Dressage News

American sponsor Jane Clarke has acquired a new WEG horse for her dressage rider Katherine Bateson-Chandler. Laurens van Lieren’s 10-year old mare Hexagon’s Wellnetta has been sold to Clarke last week.

The A.E.S. registered dark bay mare Wellnetta (by Louisville x Rubiquil x Symfonie) was Laurens van Lieren’s number one Grand Prix horse and the pair was selected to compete on the Dutch team at the 2013 CDIO Aachen this week.

Van Lieren has been showing the mare extensively this 2013 show season with starts in Drachten, ‘s Hertogenbosch, Vidauban, Hagen, and Roosendaal. They won bronze at the 2013 Dutch Indoor Championships and were members of the Dutch B-team.   Before Laurens took over the ride, the mare was started by Israeli Raz Nitzani, who competed her at Fourth level at the 2010 Dutch Indoor Championships.

Four years ago Clarke bought the Dutch Grand Prix horse Nartan (by Jazz x Le Faquin) for Bateson to ride at the 2010 World Equestrian Games. This year Wellnetta will be Katherine’s 2014 WEG hopeful while her small tour horse Alcazar (aka Alonso – by Contago x Ferro) continues to mature.

The British born Bateson is currently training with Carl Hester in Great Britain.

WANTED : OLD FILMS-PHOTOS OF HARRY AND SNOWMAN IN HOLLAND

DRESSAGE STALLION LINGH’S OWNER, AMERICAN  KARIN REID OFFIELD ASKS FOR HELP IN LOCATING OLD FILMS AND PHOTOGRAPHS OF HARRY DELEYER AND THE  LEGENDARY RESCUED AMERICAN JUMPING HORSE  ” SNOWMAN ” FOR MOVIE

Harry and Snowman is a documentary film in production in the United States. The film is a story about the legendary career of jumper rider Harry deLeyer. The story begins in 1956 when Harry saved a horse from an American slaughterhouse.

Snowman was featured on television talk shows and in newspaper articles – one said, “Although there were almost 800 horses in the show, for John Q Public there was only one that counted, and that was the chunky calm gray, Snowman.” Beyond the celebrity though, Snowman was an irreplaceable part of an amazing family of eight children.

A Dutchman by birth, Harry is from the region of Noord-Brabant and lived in the village of St-Oedenrode. In 1945 or 1946 he rode in front of Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands. He married Johanna Vermeltfort. After leaving Holland for America, in 1959, Harry and his famous horse Snowman were invited back to the Netherlands for a “special jumping tour”. During that tour he won a Puissance class and rode in a parade.

“We are searching for film footage, memories or stills of Harry deLeyer and Snowman in Holland. We are asking you to dig through your archives and attics and find information about Harry’s trip to Europe to help us make our movie come to life,” reports Lingh’s owner Karin Reid Offield, the Executive Producer of the film.

We are also looking here in America for archival films and photos of Harry, Snowman and Dutch Crown.

The 2013 Spring Birkhof Stallion Show….

2013_KatalogWhen you go to the Birkhof website, it is there you can see the show in it’s entirety. The shows were wonderful this year, the catalogue of stallions at Birkhof include Acordelli, Ciacomo, Con Spirito, Contano, Denario, Fred Astaire, Don Diamond, Genesis, Hot Spirit, Lingh, Lord Leopold, Quinto´s Chamb, Romanoff xx, Sirtaki, and Zalando.

For me, as the American watching the offspring of these interesting stallions grow up, I can honestly say

In my opinion,  ” IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A YOUNG HORSE  YOU SHOULD VISIT BIRKHOF, THEIR HORSES ARE  NICE! “

INFO ABOUT DON DIAMOND – All-around Champion and Their Master Stallion !

With 153 index points, Don Diamond counts among the Top One Percent of dressage stallions, which confirms his high ranking debut into the German breed value estimation last year.
The basis of this amazing result is his exceptional career as competition horse and sire. The stallion career of Don Diamond started with a bang. He became the celebrated Champion of the Southern German Stallion Days in January 2007.

Another highlight followed in November 2007: Don Diamond won his 30-day performance test in Neustadt/Dosse with sensational marks: overall score 8.92 / partial dressage score 9.36.

Don Diamond was the convincing Baden-Württemberg Champion in 2008 (9.63), Southern German Champion in 2008 and 2009 and – as another highlight – Vice Federal Champion in 2008. He competed one more time in the Final of the 2010 Federal Championships, and in 2011, at the age of seven, he won a qualifier for the Nuremberg Cup, finishing on an excellent 9th place in the Final.

But Don Diamond did not only shine as competition horse. He produced a number of extraordinary foal crops with many foals being honoured with the gold medal and many of them winning championships.

He presented winning mares, state premium mares, champion mares at mare performance tests, national and vice national champions and eight licensed sons from his first crop of foals on the ground.

Don Diamond descends from Grand Prix-stallion Diamond Hit who counts among the top-class stallions in Germany. His dam carries best Holstein and Hanoverian bloodlines. Various successful advanced level dressage horses descend from the foundation stock of his granddam. With Ramino and Roman, two representatives of the important Ramzes AA-bloodline are represented further down in his pedigree.

Because of these extraordinary hereditary qualities, Don Diamond was nominated 2012   Southern German Master Stallion.

Approved for Hanover, Oldenburg, Westphalia, France, Italy and all Southern German breed societies.

SO, IN THE BIRKHOF STABLE, LINGH HAS GREAT competition for the breeding mares. For the show we chose the rider as 14 year old Ina Casper. A cousin to Pia, Lisa and Anna. I asked Ina to tell me a little about herself….this is what she wrote!

The most colorful of family – Thank you to the Casper Family

I want to thank all the Breeders of Lingh for believing in him, his Dutch heritage, competitive spirit and his amazing mental agility. He is passing along these traits to his offspring – I see this everyday in the cards, letters and the stories that I hear. This winter I had the pleasure of riding a Lingh offspring and every day was wonderful. Thanks Lingh, and Happy Birthday !

Love, Karin

A Visit with Lingh – Wishing Lingh a Happy Birthday!

Spring in the hills around Gestut Birkhof is similar to an American landscape at that time of the year. ( Except in Florida….:-) The spring stallion shows traditionally are held when the weather slightly warms, and the breeders mares are at home beginning to think about foaling – the new years’ herd of sport horses in Germany. This year was an exceptionally late spring!

Lingh lives south of Stuttgart, Germany

Lingh produced over 150 foals last year, so at this years Stallion Extravaganza I was able to meet some of the youngsters that I had been hearing about, and from all the cards and letters I receive from the breeders – I am getting to know the people that have fallen in love with Lingh. The yearling crop is nice. I have been told that the Lingh foals do not get excited enough in the foal shows – they say that the foals are a little calm and need an “excitement”!  I agree. I personally like their calmness, so I also encourage the breeders that have really nice Lingh offspring – to get a professional handler – let them show off your Lingh to it’s very best! The second night of the Stallion show, we used the spotlights on the yearlings, a little differently and it made a very nice showing!

In the summertime the farm looks like this and it’s very very beautiful. Lingh lives in an old fashioned stallion barn in the middle of Birkhof. He has a corner quiet stall, right next to the feed area, where he loves to be! main_4
From the moment it becomes light at Birkhof, the farm becomes electric. There are all ages of horses stabled on the farm, and depending on the time of year and the weather conditions, these horses are being handled. When you bring your mares to Birkhof for breeding, or when you bring the older bloodstock in for Thomas Casper’s review, the family will offer your horses care, handling, showing, and education in jumping, dressage and pleasure riding.  In the sales department the future of the foals and youngsters is carefully laid out according to what you want, to make you proud as a breeder. It is the way that Thomas Casper does business.

50 years Gestüt Birkhof – We are looking back on an eventful year.

“We celebrated many interesting jubilee events together. One highlight was certainly the “Festival of the Horse”, celebrated in September with many spectators and fantastic show presentations and blessed with fabulous weather. And the jubilee year was also successful in regard to breeding and sport: The Olympics in London were certainly another highlight with Butts Abraxxas winning the team gold medal and three more successfully competing Heraldik xx-offspring, the double gold medal at the Paralympics for FBW Rainman by Rubicell, a third place for Dave at the Louisdor-Prize in Frankfurt, four national champions, four South German champions, one competitor in the Final of the Federal Championships, one winner of the “Schwarz-Goldenes-Band”-event, five licensed Birkhof-progeny at the Southern German Stallion Days in Munich and the “Master Stallion”-award for Don Diamond.

We thank you for your support and the trust placed in us in the last 50 years. Brimming with new ideas, we are highly motivated to face new challenges and are looking forward to the new breeding year.”

So the Spring of 2013 brought us new challenges. Celebrations for Lingh’s 20 birthday – not quite 21 yet, but still a great milestone of an amazing horse and competitor. I arrived with a broken finger, so Lingh got the early rides before the stallion shows with Miriam Luft,  –  outrider!  Seen here before a long country walk. Thank you Miriam, Lingh loves you and your rides!Lingh and out rider Miriam LuftJoin us for that walk! On You Tube soon!
